Chef Matthew Collins

Born in Freehold, NJ, Matt has been cooking since he was a child. As a student of the Culinary Arts program at Freehold High School he excelled and ran the cafe at 16 years old. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, he took his career to NYC, becoming a Sous Chef at 21 years old working for The Smith, Keens Steakhouse, Rouge Tomate, Wolfgang Puck, Freemans, Dream Hotels and Smith & Wollensky. He continued his education with a stint in Europe at Chateau de Lignon and Institute Paul Bocuse, leading to becoming the Chef de Cuisine at Kilo Food & Wine in Hell’s Kitchen running a hyper seasonal menu from Union Square Farmers Market and earning #21 on Wine & Spirits Top 50 NYC List in 2018. After a decade of working in New York City, he decided to take what he learned back to “his hometown” and that brings you Chef Collins Events!

I am so glad to be celebrating over 4 years in business as one of NJ’s Top Personal/Private Chefs. Having done many intimate dinners (as well as large feasts, multi day events, weddings, engagements, birthdays, retirement partys, anniversarys, etc) all over the State of New Jersey as well as New York,Pennsylvania & Georgia. I look forward to making your custimized menu perfect for you and your loved ones you are sharing it with. I ask for special requests and any dietary information to appease a basic or sophiticated palate for a custom meal to celebrate any occasion.(or just because its dinner time) Having done hundreds of different dishes during the growth of the business, I hope to contine enjoying being able to provide something that is exemplary in my eyes meanwhile a fresh idea utilizing the best produce and that the meal is to your satisfication while dinning. I use seasonal ingrediants and great techniques for the best flavors in order to offer the best final product. I continue to grow and learn in order to provide the best dinning experience and even though you are a guest to my services, I want to be the best guest in your home. Thank You
